We're not counting chickens (just taxis)

We are pleased to report that the situation at Queen Street has eased somewhat and a big THANK YOU to those taxi owners who have opted to park their vehicles at other locations. However there is one company who is still grabbing more that its fair share of spaces, especially when it comes to parking larger taxis.
Maybe it's not too late for them to consider alternative parking arrangements also.

Taxis, Taxis, Everywhere

EWPG is greatly concerned by the number of taxis that are currently being parked long-term in Queen Street car park. A lot of the larger vehicles appear to seldom, if ever, leave the car park and we would suggest that the taxi owners consider parking them elsewhere in order to free up valuable spaces.
Whilst accepting that this car park is for the use of all motorists, no occupation has the right to monopolise it. Our Group did not campaign against the introduction of pay & display in Queen Street car park only to see it being turned into a depot for out of service taxis. Consequently we will be monitoring the situation but would appeal to the taxis operators to play fair.
